This page is devoted to taking notes from Video 6 - 10 and carrying out the instructions contained in the video.
Video 6
We are going to choose a product to give away in return for a name and email address.
So go to www.surefirewealth.com and join as a silver member. Then browse till you find a suitable product to give away. Download it to your web site folder, together with the reseller package.
Extract the reseller package files and bring up the sales page into your web editor. Reduce the sales page to a short version and go to aweber to get the html code for your name and email form. Put the code into your new squeeze page [the sales page you just created]. Save this as index.html in place of the old squeeze page which can be discarded.

Video 7
This video shows how to create a Thank You Page and a Download Page. You use the squeeze page you created as a template. Just erase everything and create first a Thank You page, then save it as thankyou.html. Next erase that page, create the Download page, Save it as downloadpage,html.
You will need to use your web editor and your FTP client to perform the above.

Recapitulation
This would be a good place to recapitulate to give you a better understanding of what has taken place so far.
We have reached the point where we have set everything up. We will next be concentrating on getting traffic to our squeeze page.
So this is what we have done so far.
1. We registered a domain name. [ Namecheap or Godaddy ] 2. We signed up for hosting [ Kiosk or Hostgator ] 3. We got a web editor [ Komposer or My Free Website Builder ] 4. We downloaded a free FTP client [ SmartFTP or AceFTP ] 5. We signed up for an autoresponder at Aweber.com 6. We joined Surefirewealth.com as a silver member. 7. We also joined Roboform, Clickbank,and Paydotcom 8. We need winzip and Adobe Reader
What we did once we had these tools
1. We directed our DNS settings to our web host. 2. Created a folder for our site. I chose “test” www.donalddriscoll.com/test 3. Created a squeeze page template and called it “testsqueeze.html” www.donalddriscoll.com/test/testsqueeze.html 4. We chose a product to give away from Surefirewealth “ Internet Marketing Essentials” 5. Created a squeeze page to promote this giveaway product. On this page I put a subscription form taken from Aweber. I used My Free Website Builder to create the squeeze page and saved into the “test” folder. New squeeze page www.donalddriscoll.com/test/squeezepage2.html
I uploaded the squeezepage2 file to my site using my FTP client. I created a Thank You page in my website builder and uploaded into the“test” folder on donalddriscoll.com. www.donalddriscoll.com/test/thankyou.html
Next I created a download page and uploaded to the “test” folder. www.donalddriscoll.com/test/download.html
Some work needs to be done on Aweber to link up with the Thank You page, but that won’t take long and then we are up and running. There is tidying up to do, some folders and file might need to be renamed, but we can now concentrate on getting traffic to our squeeze page and start building our list.
This is the whole purpose of what we have been doing so far.

Video 8
This video is all about setting up a One Time Offer which will appear as soon as someone fills in the subscription form and clicks on Submit button.
Step 1 Go to www.otogoldmine.com and sign up. Log in. Click on Manage Campaign. Then choose a package. I chose Random Package 2. Select from the drop down box a Top Message. I chose “ Your Download Link Has Been Sent. Please Check Your mail. Then I filled in the Redirect URL field with my Thank You Page URL www.donalddriscoll.com/test/thankyou.html Then I clicked on Create Campaign button.
Step 2
On the next page I copied the Campaign ID URL and went to my web editor My Free Website Builder Opened up the Source Code, located the form code and changed the two instances of http://www.aweber.com/form/thankyou_vo.html to http://www.otogoldmine.com/members/oto.php?cid=8978
Step 3
I saved the changes and tested the results. I then uploaded the new squeeze page and checked to make sure everything was working as it should. It did as I hoped and now we are ready to drive traffic to the squeeze page.

Video 9 arrived 27th December 07
We have finished the basic design of our web site. Now we are going to direct some traffic to our site. We start with safelists and are advised to join a list of responsive safelists.
Most of these safelists are free to join but it is advisable to upgrade as soon as possible.If yo use your two gmail accounts - one to receive confirmation emails and the other for replies from safelist members, then you will need to open one of these in Firefox and the other in Internet Explorer.
Before joining the safelists create a folder in Roboform to place your confirmation email details.

Video 10
This video continues with advice on safelist marketing. iPostad have an auto-validation tool but it doesn’t, as a rule, validate every single email account for you as it should. Therefore check in you email account to validate any validation requests that have slipped through the net.
Some safelists don’t allow gmail accounts. The way to get round this is to use your site’s email address and redirect it to your gmail account. Next go to the cpanel of your site and log in. For Example donalddriscoll.com/cpanel Once logged in click on the Mail icon > Add/Remove/Manage Accounts >Add Account Create a new email address eg safelistmail@dondriscoll.com Go back to cpanel click on Forwarders > Add Forwarder Fill in the boxes eg safelistmail@dondriscoll.com >>>dondriscoll99@gmail.com Click on Add Forwarder and all mail sent to safelistmail@dondriscoll.com will forward to your gmail account i.e. mine end up in at.....eg dondriscoll99@gmail.com
