We Need A Plan The course I have been following concentrated on acquiring a list of prospects by offering them a free report in exchange for their name and e-mail address. Once the list became sizable you were expected to offer them good content and recommend to them products to which you had affiliate connections. This was how you were going to make money. I have reservations about such a plan. The give-away report suggested in the course focused on Article Writing. I chose as my giveaway report Internet Marketing essentials, as I felt this was a less restricted area to market to. Even so, it seems to me that I needed a stronger plan, one which included a web site that was more than just a squeeze page. So here is my plan I am going to choose a broad category and within that category concentrate on a narrowly targeted aspect of that category. For instance, if I chose Dog Training as my main category, I could focus on developing a site devoted to house training a puppy. There would be less competition in this narrower niche and because puppies grow up, I could eventually cover all aspects of dog training. So What Sort Of A Web Site Shall I create. I need a web site that sells. What Tools Shall I need? I Need a domain name. Godaddy or Northcliffe Domains What I Don’t Need I don’t need a site that tries to sell hundreds of products. My Primary Focus Building a customer list and building up a trusting relationship with them is going to be my main aim. Let’s go to the next stage |
